Mobile Notary Requirements in Washington State
What identification do I need for notarization?
Each signer must present a valid government‑issued photo ID such as a driver’s license, state ID card, passport, or military ID. The name on your ID should reasonably match the name on the document. If you are unsure whether your ID will be accepted, please ask when you schedule.
Can you provide witnesses for my signing?
In many cases, you are responsible for providing your own witnesses who are not named in the document and have no direct interest in it. In limited situations, we may be able to help arrange witnesses for an additional fee with advance notice.
Can you give legal advice or prepare my documents?
No. As a Washington State notary public, we are not permitted to provide legal advice, choose the type of notarization for you, or prepare documents. Please consult an attorney or the document issuer if you are unsure about the content or type of notarization required.
